The Bangladeshi government is actively promoting API manufacture through a range of export and tax breaks. In order to decrease reliance on imports to 80% by 2032 and to attract investment of USD 1 billion in API manufacturing, the government developed the API Policy in 2018. By 2032, the initiative also seeks to increase API export revenue and generate 500,000 new employment. Additionally, a new API Park has been created.
